Code of Conduct

basic rules

1. We are an 21+, 3-3-3 site. Conduct yourself with empathy and compassion for your fellow members. No metagaming, godmodding, powerplaying, or generally being a poor sport.


2. Do not purposefully try to find and/or abuse loopholes.


3. Harassment is not permitted. Morbus Motus and its discord are safe places. We have a zero tolerance on bigotry of any kind. We expect our members to be understanding about triggers and sensitive when having discussions.


4. We do not allow OOC planning and plotting, to help drive organic development, and put an emphasis on all-welcome threads. Planning includes everything beyond inviting a member to post in a thread, ie. asking for pack members, requesting alliances, "shipping" non-existing relationships, etc. We will not go out of our way to police your DMs but ask that members respect this as the intended spirit of the site.


5. Morbus Motus does not utilize posting tables or altering of font color, tables, etc when posting. Font weights - bold, italic, underline, etc - are fine. This is to encourage a focus on development and legibility.


6. We will never permit or condone the use of AI, for art or writing.

in character rules

1. MM'ss post length requirement is roughly 150 words.


2. We are primarily a Player versus Environment site, however Player versus Player will inevitably come up. We have no specific levels for this and run by the rule that all actions have consequences.


3. Be aware of appropriation and slurs. Be considerate when choosing names, personalities, any disabilities or mental illnesses, etc. We reserve the right to ask players to make changes to foster a respectful community.


4. Sexual assault, incest, grooming, and necrophilia are absolutely not allowed.


5. When posting content that could be potentially triggering, appropriately tag your thread and make a mention at the top of the first post.

Time

1. Time on MM is double real life time. That means every IC year will be roughly 6 months real time. Each month will be 14 days.


2. MM also uses liquid time which means your character can be in multiple threads at once. However, this should not be abused. Threads may not be backdated or forward-dated to a different season. If your character is in a potentially life-altering thread, please consider waiting for these to be finished before posting elsewhere.
