Lumina

About Lumina

Among the ancient magics that graft the world of Luminaria comes a form of magic that binds a feline to a whimsical companion called Lumina. Each Lumina comes in various forms and various colors, though are typically ‘miniaturized’ versions of the species they represent. While some Lumina representations are obvious based on size there are also the wisps of pale blue ‘smoke’ that comes from the creature’s skin, marking it as a celestial gift from the spirits that grant boons to the residents of Luminaria.

Lumina come in all species, granted by the celestial bodies that watch over the world. They can be normal Lumina or mythical Lumina based on the orb gifted. New Lumina are discovered throughout different interactions, and are only able to be possessed if granted a Lumina Orb from a celestial body or purchased in the on-site shop.

A lumina orb glows wherever it is found, pulsating vibrantly when someone nears it.

Types Of Lumina

There are two types of Lumina: normal and mythical. Color of the Lumina orb determines what type of Lumina you've encountered. Blue is a normal Lumina, while a golden orb symbolizes a mythical Lumina. Once a Lumina orb is encountered there is a bright blue light emitted that grants the companion. At random the order (animal classification) of the Lumina is chosen, gifted by the celestial spirits. From the chosen order, any underlying species of that animal may be chosen to represent the Lumina. Mythical lumina are chosen at random based on the list of available mythical creatures below.

Once appearance and species of the Lumina is decided, it becomes permanent. No changes can be made.
